Sweet Home Gelato serves the communities in Highland Park, Naperville, and Chicago’s Riverfront, offering an elevated dessert experience rooted in local pride. To reflect this positioning, the brand required an identity that communicated sophistication rather than the playful or nostalgic tropes common in the category.

Grounded in the interior design direction for the stores—a warm, modern, and quietly luxurious environment—the visual identity was built to integrate seamlessly with the physical experience. The mark functions both as a symbol of the product and as a subtle location marker, anchoring the “home” in Sweet Home Gelato and reinforcing its connection to the neighborhoods it serves.

A refined palette draws from the cool tones of frozen desserts, pairing mint with a deep gray to balance freshness with sophistication. The lowercase, modern sans-serif wordmark enhances approachability while maintaining an upscale presence. Together, these elements position Sweet Home Gelato as a contemporary, community-rooted brand that feels premium without pretense.
